Not too long ago I posted a brief congrats to Noah (the guy in the Matt Good video) for his recent achievements. One of those achievements being the official voice of Molson Canadian. If you watched the olympics on CTV you almost definitely heard his voice…

Casting Call: ADC Online

ADC Online and Kunu are looking for actors to fill the following roles for an upcoming commercial:

JOE: Joe is a tech-savvy retiree in his early to mid 70′s. He is relatively energetic for his age and loves to talk even if no one is listening.

CALVIN: Calvin is also in his mid 70′s, although he is much less tech-savvy. He is not much of a talker, but communicates a lot through facial expressions. Many people often peg him as a ‘grumpy old man’ when they first meet him.

The small cost of a big idea

Saturday, February 6th, 2010 by Nate

So we’ve finally launched our Web Video Starter Package. You know, a lot of work goes into launching something like this. A lot of late nights and long days sitting at the computer, toiling over words and designs. From the post card graphics to the terms and conditions, the web page to our own commercial, everything had to be meticulously combed through by several people to get it just right. All of this, which trying to complete a few other videos, such as the AWE Therapies spot and a couple more that should be released in the next week or two. I guess what I’m saying is that it’s been hard work, but rewarding none-the-less. Even though, as of writing this, we haven’t yet made our first sale, I feel as though it’s already successful. That might sound kind of cheesy or preemptive, but I really feel as though this is something that will take off. To my knowledge this is the single most affordable package for getting businesses online with web video. I have not heard of any other production companies that have attempted such a thing.

Web video is clearly the direction marketing it going. As Blair has mentioned in his previous post, even having the option of a video on your web site adds immeasurable value. At $198 we are confident that even startups with virtually no capital can afford to get a video online. Think about it. How much does an ad in a newspaper cost? How much would only 1000 post cards cost? And how long do they last?

Now, some people have suggested that such a low price-point might devalue our brand. I kindly disagree. I disagree because I know the quality of our work. I know how much passion and dedication we put into it. I know because I do a lot of it myself. I know the value of remarkable and try to live my life with that mindset. I know that it won’t be the price of our Starter Package that sets the value of our brand, but how we work and what we do that sets the value.

Kunu’s Web Video Starter Package. It’s finally here. The most affordable, highest quality option for any business who wants to get started in web video. I am excited to get started, so without further adieux…

Cangratulations Noah

Friday, November 13th, 2009 by Nate

Noah CappeI just wanted to post a quick congratulations to Noah Cappe on becoming the official host of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic torch relay and the official voice of Molson Canadian!

You may remember Noah from his numerous appearances on TV, film, and of course his starring role in Born Losers.

CONGRATULATIONS

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009 by Blair

In The Business Builder 0.2 I mentioned that we were going to be providing a lucky SBNA attendee a free 30 second commercial. This past Thursday, September 24 I drew our first business card out of the planters pot.

Congratulations to Kat Downey of Legacy-Matters. Kat is in pre-paid funeral services that takes the hassle, and worry out of funeral planning. We look forward to working with Kat over the coming weeks! Interestingly enough,  Kat is also in the process of updating her website. With our collaboration and the launch of her new site, Kat has a lot to look forward to.

We will update when the site is up and running!

The Shoot

Thursday, September 10th, 2009 by Blair

This past Tuesday Brent, Nate, and I completed the shoot for our new promotional video!

I have to admit, I’m new to getting in front of the camera – but Brent and Nate have been doing this for sometime and clearly know how to make it right. I must have messed up my lines dozens of times (and the outtakes reel should be interesting), but they seemed pretty relaxed about it. I do apologize to Brent for the one take that had him baking in the sun for about 10 minutes. It was like being in a sun-powered sauna. Hopefully the final cut is worth the aggravation!

Nate picked an awesome spot for the shoot. His cousin’s place up in Perkinsfield – it was perfect. The property was huge, which gave us lots of options for scenery. We’ve had a pretty dull summer, but that day, the sun was shining with barely a cloud in the sky. There is little doubt that the weather combined with the backdrop will make for an incredible final product.

When are you going to get that done Nate? Time is ticking :)
